JAKARTA – OkminTV.Com, Freni Lutruntuhluy, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Jakarta on Monday, 17 November 2025. He was warmly received by Mr. Apolo Justino França Da Silva, the Trade and Industry Attaché at the Timor-Leste Embassy in Indonesia.
The meeting served to further strengthen cooperation with the media and between the Embassy of Timor-Leste, particularly in areas related to economic empowerment for peace, cross-border investment opportunities, human resources development issues, health, and humanitarian developments.
The two parties accepted several points regarding potential collaboration on Timor Leste-Indonesia raids, emphasizing the importance of public attention and media support for both efforts.
“Timor-Leste is advancing in many senses,” said Apolo Justino França Da Silva. “And our recent acceptance as a full member of ASEAN has presented us with more chances for development.” As a near neighbor of Indonesia, we have always cherished the relationship between our two countries, which are connected by long-standing cultural and traditional affinity.
Mr. Apolo also pointed out that Timor Leste has attended to the main economic sectors in the country, such as the production of coffee, maritime tourism, and religious tourism, that he believes will bring a good investment return to the future of this nation.
The OkminTV.Com management team highly appreciated the increasing potential of Timor-Leste, particularly in the tourism and agricultural sectors.
“This visit feels like coming home,” Freni Lutruntuhluy said in a statement. “We want to see Timor-Leste continue to grow based on its abundant natural and cultural resources—from coffee and tourism to human development.” Our media is about advancing Timor-Leste by promoting its economic, business, and humanitarian stories to the world.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen collaboration through media partnerships, aimed at boosting international recognition for Timor Leste economic and social development. (red)
